DENTURE

Denture

Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, whether, from gum disease, tooth decay, or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health.

After your mouth has fully healed, your dentist will take several bite impressions of your jaw and mouth. The dentist will use these impressions to create a denture that’s custom-molded to the exact shape of your mouth, for a more precise fit.

Snap-in dentures or Implant Supported Dentures
are the most effective choice when it comes to stability. They are held securely in place with the help of dental implants or anchors onto the existing teeth.
Snap-on dentures, also called implant-supported dentures or overdentures, are held in place not just by the gums, but by either a few remaining teeth or by metal posts that are implanted in the jawbone.

Dentures may help prevent problems with eating and speech
and, if you need complete dentures, they may also improve the appearance of your smile and give you confidence.

It is recommended to replace your dentures every 5-7 years for proper fit and appearance. Denture teeth can wear down and stain faster than natural teeth, and tissues in your mouth may change over time. This can result in an improper fit.
